Excellent. I stumbled across this setting a long time ago… But then itunes updates and it erased my taskbar setting for some reason; I forgot how I got it there in the first place. It works very well in windows 7, even on my vertical taskbar. Thanks!

@KathyG_NC If you click on the little button with an arrow on it in the lower right hand corner of the taskbar player this context menu will list the song that is currently playing. I know it’s another step than being able to glance at it but that’s a little workaround for you.

Works great in Windows 7 Ultimate. I only wish it would display the song playing information like some players do.

Thanks man,everytime itunes does a major update it seems to disable this

Thank you so much! iTunes used to do it by itself, but when my iPhone stopped working after an iTunes update, I had to manually reverse the update and then it stopped doing it!

Luckily, they fixed the iPhone bug, so I re-updated, but it still didn’t minimize to my taskbar like it had. This is a simple fix, but incredibly helpful!
